“I lined up three panels behind my main street and honestly could not find the seam. That was the whole problem I gave up on years ago.”

— Dave R., HO layout, Michigan

“Stopped printing my own. Between ink and semi-gloss paper I was spending more than this pack costs, and it still looked patched together.”

— 2 layouts, Ontario

“Bought it for the ruined-street backdrop behind my 1/35 corner. It made the whole diorama look finished instead of floating on a table.”

— Tom K., military modeler, Texas

Wait! Your order also includes one extra tool free: the Ink-Saver Printer Settings Card

Included free today.
Printing a large backdrop can eat a full set of cartridges, and most of that ink is wasted on the wrong settings.

This card gives you tested matte and semi-gloss profiles for common home printers, plus a low-ink mode that keeps the color true while using far less. So you print the whole horizon without watching $80 in ink drain into one sheet.

✦ Who we are

We build the parts of the scene nobody sells you straight.

We started this the way most builders hit the wall: with a good layout and a bad backdrop. You can find a thousand free files and a dozen cheap single scenes, but nothing that was made to sit together, and printing your own turns into a running fight with ink and visible seams.

So we built the pack we wanted. Coordinated horizons across the scenes people actually build, HO towns, ruined streets, rail yards, open country. Pre-sized, seam-matched, and print-ready, so the back of your scene finally looks like distance instead of a join.

No instructor face, no subscription, no course to sit through. One download, made to drop into your scene. That's the whole idea.

“Skeptic here. I have about forty years in the hobby and I figured I'd need to fiddle with margins forever to get a seamless run. Pulled the panel sequencing map out of the kit, followed it in order, first try. Genuinely surprised. Would have cost me three cartridge sets to figure that out on my own.”

“Good pack. Vol 1 is the star. Vol 3 panels could use one more winter variant but I still recommend it.”

Questions Before You Order?

Any questions? Contact us at info@dioramahorizons.com — we will reply within 24 hours.

Is this for beginners?

Yes. If you can open a file and run a home printer, you can use it. The panels are pre-sized and the Seam-Align Kit shows you exactly how they line up. Experienced builders use it just to skip the sifting.

Will the panels really match up without a visible seam?

That's the whole point of the pack. Panels are drawn to tile together, and each one ships with registration marks plus a sequencing map that tells you the print order. Line them up once and the join disappears.

Is this a course or a how-to guide?

No. It's the actual backdrop files, print-ready, plus the tools to print and align them. You're buying the horizon, not a lesson on how to make one.

How do I receive the files?

Instantly. Right after checkout you get a download link, usually within a minute. Download the 3 volumes and both bonuses to any device and start printing.

What scale are the backdrops?

The base pack ships sized for HO, the most common layout height. A multi-scale add-on (N, O, and 1/35 to 1/48) is available at checkout if you build in another scale.

Why pay when free STL and $5 backdrops exist?

Free files are scattered and unthemed, and cheap single scenes rarely match each other. This is 55+ panels across 12 coordinated themes, made to sit together, with a seam mechanism. You're paying to skip the hunt and get a horizon that fits.

How is this different from a commercial vinyl backdrop?

No shipping, no peeling, and no fighting to line up rigid sheets. You print at home, pre-sized to standard height, and reprint any panel free if one gets damaged. Own it once instead of paying ~$100 per scene.

Can I use it on multiple devices and reprint panels?

Yes. It's yours to keep, use on any device, and print as many times as you like. Damage a panel or want a fresh copy, just print it again.
